Splitboard Courses & Backcountry Clinics

Splitboard Courses in the Chamonix & Abondance Valleys, Cogne in Italy or Valais in Switzerland.

Our core offering is high level UIAGM splitboard guiding and tuition.  Our speciality is for finding cold snow for you to ride.

To get to these places you’ll need both a good technique in the skintrack and an understanding of how & when to deploy and safely use BCA (backcountry access) equipment.

On an introductory splitboard course or on a higher level improver session with us, we’ll concentrate on sharing with you the fundamental techniques for successful splitboard touring.

This could be teaching you the basics of transitioning and packing your equipment properly to executing a pro-level kick-turn.  We’ll show you how to safely hold axes on steeper pitches and how to use boot crampons properly for booting up couloirs.  On any session, whatever the level, we’ll also ensure you are up to date on the latest safety thinking and search and rescue procedures.

Even though we have a strong focus on sharing best touring and alpinism practices with you we are also committed to ensuring you ride in the best possible conditions around, which is kind of the point of splitboarding..

You’ll be in very safe hands too, guided in safety by our team who hold the highest level guide qualifications achievable.   We strive to make these sessions both fun & educational and hope to rip as much pow as we can along the way : )
