The Programme
Splitboard Chablais 3 or 4 day sessions. The first day is spent close to the resort to help you get used to the equipment and warm up. This session will likely require the purchase of a day pass for the local area. Over the next 2 days we travel to a local zone where the conditions are looking best returning to resort each day, on the late afternoon.
Fitness & Ability
For a 3-day trip with no huts, your fitness level means that you are good to hike slowly for between 3 to 4 hours a day on the splitboards with enough energy left to safely manage a descent of approx 1000m. Previous splitboard experience is not necessary.
For the 3-day trip with 1 hut night then our daily ascents will be between 1000m – 1200m , most likely at higher altitudes. Expect to tour for between 4-5 hours per day.
On a 4-day session with 2 hut nights we will expect you to be able to make around 1200m + of ascent per day on the splits on some possibly technical terrain. We’ll spend approx 5+ hours per day touring.
