The Powder Poacher

2021 Dates TBC

A hybrid splitboard course designed to introduce good snowboarders to the discipline or for the more experienced splitboarder looking to score deep & cold turns on one of the quietest weeks of the season. Join us for an unbeatable value trip here in Chatel & discover some of the best kept off-piste secrets in the Haute Savoie.

Over 5 guided days we will lead you on a search for powder snow. We may use the odd lift for an altitude bump but it will generally be splitboard only accessed terrain we explore.

The first week of February is historically one of best weeks for finding and riding superb snow just before the high holiday season kicks in. When we get cold & dry powder conditions in the Alps it is one of the best snowboard destinations in the world

Throughout the week are workshops on reading terrain for line choice, assessing snow pack stability, and how to move safely in the mountains. Sessions on using avalanche equipment and what to do in case of one also feature.

With 5 full days of splitboard guiding & tuition, 7 nights semi-catered accommodation, airport transfers & premium Never Summer & Spark R&D splitboard equipment provided this really is an almost unbeatable package.
