Introduction to Splitboarding Weekends 23rd – 26th January 2020

This trip runs from Friday – Sunday and you will be guided over 3 full days. All splitboard and safety equipment is included along with splitboard technique tuition for those that require it.

If the conditions are good in Chatel then we will stay in the Portes Du Soleil and explore the surrounding Abondance backcountry. If we feel the snow and weather is better somewhere i.e. somewhere around the Mont Blanc Massif range then we will move there instead in order to guarantee you get the best possible conditions for your trip. Backcountry safety and avalanche transceiver training sessions are also included.

The maximum group size is 6 people. A minimum of 2 people are needed to run any weekend.

This is for any snowboarder confident on all level of piste runs who have a little powder experience but would like some more.

Your fitness level means that you are good to hike for up to 2 hours a day on the splitboards with enough energy left to safely manage a descent of 1000m . Previous splitboard experience is not necessary.

That was an awesome trip! Definitely added a few permanent clips to the memory bank. Untracked powder lines and steep couloirs. A couple of decent skin tracks back up too!
