Trip and Splitboard Chablais 3 Day Session

All the adventure of a Trip and Split bundled into 3 high octane days on the hunt for the best snow in the wider Chablais Alps Trip & Split Chablais 3-day sessions are the perfect blend of two of our most popular trips. We have taken the backyard adventure spirit of our Splitboard Chablais week and combined it with the conditions chasing focus of our classic Trip and Split sessions. It is aimed at experienced snowboarders with (preferably) some touring experience who are looking to ride in the best conditions the mountains have to offer. To do this you need to be agile, flexible and have a supremely mobile splitboard operator behind you.
Running Sunday to Tuesday you will arrive on the Saturday in our home base in the Abondance Valley and we will start out early on the Sunday morning to travel to wherever the conditions are going to be best for the 3 days. .
It could be in the Chamonix valley, Cogne in Italy or perhaps somewhere in the big mountains of Valais in Switzerland. Accommodation will usually be in valley Gîte style lodgings during the January & February months. Come March, April & May we will head to higher altitudes and use one or two of the many fantastic mountain refuges as our base to explore the area. Lets poach some backcountry pow stashes and maybe conquer a few king, spring lines.
You arrive on the Saturday into Chatel. We will then meet and brief you on the evening before setting off on the Sunday morning to our chosen destination. Splitboard and freeride days on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. We will return to Chatel on the Tuesday afternoon / early evening which is where the trip ends
This is a trip for fit and experienced snowboarders. Expect to walk a minimum of 3 hours per day followed by long backcountry descents. Please get in touch if you would like further clarification on this.
Payment Policy: A deposit of 250€ is required immediately upon booking your session with The Rider Social. The balance of your trip costs are due 6 weeks before the course start date. Failure to meet the payment deadline 6 weeks before the start date will forfeit your place on that session without refund.
Cancellation policy: For cancellations made up to 6 weeks before the course start date, 50% of the ‘deposit’ amount paid will be refunded. For cancellations occurring within 6 weeks of the course start date no refund payments will be made.
If cancelling a course within 6 weeks of the course start date, payments made cannot be refunded, carried forward or moved to another course.
Refund policy: The Rider Social is not liable for refunds or compensation due to late arrival, failure to attend or complete a course due to injury or illness, travel restrictions, resort closure, adverse weather conditions, force majeure or any other causes or conditions outside the control of The Rider Social
Covid-19: In the event that you can’t attend your session due to Covid-19 associated travel and holiday disruptions including (but not exclusive to) resort closure, FCO imposed travel restrictions, airline train or ferry travel bans imposed by International or local governments, a total refund of the balance paid, minus the non refundable deposit amount, will be refunded to you (the client).
In the event that you can’t attend your course due to you, (the client) being personally affected by the Covid-19 virus (including illness, inability to travel due to illness or any other personal restrictions affecting your travel) The Rider Social will not be liable to refund any monies (as stated in the refund policy above). It is strongly recommended that you have adequate personal insurance for illness, personal cancellation and personal travel disruption.
Upon booking any advertised session of any duration with The Rider Social you are in agreement of the Payment & Cancellations policies listed above.
This is a perfect getaway for those who might be pushed to take a full week out or who are looking to move quickly to the mountains to ride powder after a recent storm. Also along with your UIAGM splitboard guide you are accompanied a Rider Social crew support member. It is their job to deal with the day to day management of the group. They also hold the required European driving qualifications (including Driver CPC) to safely move you across boarders in private transport (a 4×4 VW Multivan)
This allows your guide to concentrate on what they do best – the guiding. With over 8 years experience of running these trips you can be assured that it is a meticulously planned, polished & fun operation.
We only take a maximum of 4 clients on these trips. A smaller group means that we can not only move faster & more safely in the mountains but manage bigger, more technical descents than if it were a group of 6 people.
