Hut to Hut Splitboarding

From 1245€

On a multi-day, hut to hut splitboarding tour we might guide you through the high mountains of Chamonix & the Swiss Canton of Valais or across some beautiful Italian terrain for one of the best adventures you can ever make on a splitboard.

On this 3 night and 4 day option. Let us guide you on an eco-friendly, foot powered journey across remote Alpine wilderness. On each day of the trip we will look to ride the best backcountry lines that happen to catch our eye and use the best huts in the area.

As ever we will keep our options open as to where to travel for the trip ensuring the best conditions for a perfect spring splitboarding experience at altitude.

Many ski-tour operators already offer a hut to hut experience but this trip differs in that it has  been designed by splitboarders for splitboarders.

This means that every ascent & descent you’ll make will of been thought through from the perspective of an experienced splitboarder. For example, we will avoid the long hard traverses that are easy on skis in favour of more splitboard friendly routes.

We will deal with the conditions on day to day basis for you. One day the objective might be to summit and ride a certain peak or it may be that we look to poach as many smaller backcountry lines as possible on the journey to the next hut.

The huts that provide our shelter are high mountain refuges where we’ll find a good dinner and a comfy, warm dormitory bed awaiting us at the end of each day. Expect an early breakfast each morning too.

You should be comfortable  riding in varied conditions. The descents will most likely involve snowboarding in powder & velvety spring snow. However, you should also be competent riding ice, wind scoured hard-pack, sun affected snow and slush at lower altitudes.

Any experienced splitboarder with a good spirit & sense of adventure looking to join a small, tight knit crew for a pure backcountry experience should seriously consider this trip.

3 night hut tour: Arrive in Chatel on the Saturday. Early on the Sunday morning we will drive to the start point of the trip. On a 3 night trip the Sunday, Monday & Tuesday nights will be spent away and we will return late to Chatel on the Wednesday.

You are a fit and experienced splitboarder who is comfortable with skinning 1000m+ of vertical each day. You will retain enough energy to ride long or technical (or both) off- piste descents each day.

What People Say

That was an awesome trip! Definitely added a few permanent clips to the memory bank. Untracked powder lines and steep couloirs. A couple of decent skin tracks back up too!
