Splitboard Kyrgyzstan
We’re back to Jyrgalan, Kyrgyzstan in March and have some new trip developments to share with you.
Joining Polo Verdier on guiding duties will be UIAGM splitboard guide Laurent Bibollet.

We’re stoked to announce that joining us for Splitboard Kyrgyzstan will be UIAGM, Jones Snowboards Ambassador Guide and big mountain line rider Laurent (Bibs) Bibollet
Bib joined us for the first time on our Splitboard Greenland Split and Sail trip in May of this year working alongside Rider Social head splitboard guide Paul (Polo) Verdier, UIAGM
In Jyrgalan we will have both Polo and Bib working together again, giving us the edge in all aspects of mountain safety and the potential to open up some new splitboard terrain in the area.
Choose your length of stay
We have also mixed up the travel schedule a little and you now have the option of joining us for either seven or eight nights. Coming for eight nights means you get a day of lift accessed snowboarding at Karakol ski resort, a perfect warm up at the start of the trip before we transfer you up to Jyrgalan for the splitboarding, horses and sleds.
Current availability
Session 1.
We have only have space for one, perhaps two more people on the first session running 5th or 6th (depending on the length of stay you choose) until 12th March. This is a great choice if you’re looking to come and find out what Kyrgyzstan has to offer and to ride some great snow without committing to a very physically demanding week.
Session 2.
This runs 12th – 19th March and is for the best choice for splitboarders who are keen to come and explore a little further with us in Jyrgalan. We’ll be looking to try and make some first splitboard ascents and descents on this trip so you’ll understand that it’ll be bigger days in the skintrack. We have space for only two more on this session.
Both sessions include
- Two pro-splitboard UIAGM guides to lead you through this incredible landscape, assisted by local splitboard guide James M.
- Seven or eight nights accommodation (depending on what length of stay you choose). Shared rooms.
- A fresh and authentic home cooked dinner on each night. Breakfast each morning and a substantial lunchbox to take away.
- A day on horseback, we use the horses to help us make an ascent of between 400-600m before carrying on using splits
- Yurt night, we’ll split to a remote backcountry yurt and use it for one night of your stay with meals provided.
- A skidoo freeride day. We’ll be using the sleds to access the freeride zones in upper Jyrgalan for repeated pow laps.
- Transfers from Karakol to Jyrgalan and all road transport required on the trip.
